This RAM model has a tighter CAS latency of 16, making the overall effective latency remain at 10ns.

This model has its cons; the main highlight that every user needs to consider is the 51mm height that this RAM occupies over the motherboard. Since Ryzen 7 2700x is an overclocking capable processor, we believe that the user will be installing a sizable air-based CPU cooler to allow some overclocking headspace. These large coolers allow small space underneath them over the RAM slots, and CORSAIR VENGEANCE RAMs have high heights which cannot fit beneath the CPU cooler.

G.SKILL Flare X Series is G.SKILL’s best RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x. It matches the maximum capability of the processor, ensuring stable operation. The key highlights are the large heatsink and small RAM height; this allows this RAM to sit underneath a sizable air-based CPU cooler. Large CPU coolers are preferred in gaming rigs as they move a massive amount of air through the case allowing other components on your motherboard to cool on the way.

Like most modern RAMs that include RGB lighting, this RAM takes a more straightforward approach by coloring the heat sink. There are two colors available; however, we believe that white should have been there. It is a non-ECC RAM which is ok for desktop computers. ECC-ready RAMs run at slower frequencies and are preferred on server PCs as they require reliability more than speed.

It is an XMP 2.0 ready RAM that works perfectly with the Ryzen processors, considering installing them on an AMD 400 or 500 series motherboard. They are excellent value for money with large heatsinks and can run at high speed with low latency. It consumes less power than the DDR3 counterpart. Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB is the best mid-price RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x. It offers excellent performance owing to the high frequency and tight timings. It can run at 1.35 Volt under overclocked conditions, and XMP 2.0 enabled. It is the best RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x and has been tested on a wide variety of motherboards for compatibility. Irrespective of an AMD or Intel chipset, this RAM module performs effectively at a 10ns latency. The 3200 MHz frequency does not make the RAM slower.

Corsair used tighter timings on this RAM and lowered the operating frequency. It makes it more suitable for the Ryzen 7 2700x as it officially supports up to a 2933MHz frequency, making tighter timing more suitable. We did not see any RGB on this memory, but the lack of an RGB lighting spreader allows it to be a low-profile RAM that fits under any CPU cooler.

The heat spreader on this RAM is humongous, and there are small fins like structures on top of the module, making it run with cool temperatures. It is based on a black theme suitable for most computer interiors, and the black PCB keeps the RAM subtle in terms of aesthetics. RAMs usually go underneath the air-based CPU cooler, so it is irrelevant to buy RAM with RGB that cannot be seen from the windowed side panel.

G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series is all about aesthetics. Almost every other build on Instagram has a set of G.Skill RAMs installed onto the motherboard. It is because of the premium aesthetics and RGB that it glows without any dark patches. It is the best mid-range RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x. The brushed metal heatsinks with large fins on the top make it feasible for high heat transfer and overclocking conditions.

The RAM has a height of 45mm owing to the RGB lighting spreader and large heat sink fins protruding from the top. It is a RAM module for PCs running with a liquid-based CPU cooler. The air-based CPU cooler will not be feasible since it will block the view and will probably not have enough clearance to fit this RAM. There is also no ECC support on this RAM which is usually present in server-based computers.

The feature that stands out on this memory module is its ability to sync with the most advanced and common motherboard sync. It works perfectly in sync with Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and AsRock Polychrome Sync. Adata has done a fantastic job incorporating RGB lighting into their RAM module. The XPG SPECTRIX D60G has a 60% module area covered with RGB lighting. It will make your chassis light up from the inside and make heads turn. The diamond-cut design makes it unique and likely to stand out from all your other computer hardware. The height of the RAM module was surprisingly low. 46mm height along with large RGB light diffusers is design engineering at its best.

XPG is the best budget-friendly RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x, but we did notice a couple of downsides to the RAM. The heatsink is small, and there are no heat fins to ensure that the surface area is large enough to support stable overclocking. It has probably led ADATA to offer looser timing and lower frequency. The sync option is accurate and easily syncs with any motherboard sync available in the market. However, the color accuracy takes a hit, and users have reported colors to be out of tune with the other hardware.

Overall the RAM is unbuffered and unregistered; it can run on most motherboards in the market with ease. It has the decent overclocking capability and has XMP 2.0 support for Intel processors. You will need to manually set the timing and frequency for the RAM in the BIOS for the AMD processor. It is the best in terms of price/performance ratio.

The stability of the product is their prime attribute. HyperX Fury 16GB Black XMP RAM is their best 16GB Kit for Ryzen 7 2700x, considering the price and the performance ratio. It is ready to work with plug-and-play overclocking. The substantial overclocking headspace makes it an excellent choice for overclockers.

This RAM can go up to 3733MHz, considering that the voltages are set to 1.35, and timing is made a little sluggish. We could not see any official statement regarding the 1.35V supply to the module, but users have reported it performing stably at high overclocked voltages. The data rate is 2666MHz, but due to the tight timing, the effective latency remains under 11ns. There is no RGB which makes it suitable for air-based coolers.

The RAM has a low profile of 34mm, making it an excellent choice for an air-based cooler. The large heatsinks allow it to overclock to high frequencies and remain stable. It’s a perfect choice considering the value of money. The decent-looking anodized aluminum heat spreader with black color can never go wrong with any aesthetically pleasing gaming rig.

If you are looking to ensure no bottleneck occurs in your PC build, then Patriot Viper 4 Blackout Series DDR4 16GB is the best high-speed 16GB kit for Ryzen 7 2700x. It has massive overclocking potential because of the large heatsinks that cover most of the RAM surface area. Most modern x570 motherboards rarely support 4400MHz RAM speeds, but Patriot claims to have their RAMs capable of running at such unprecedented speeds.

This RAM has no RGB lighting, making it suitable for some users running non-windowed PC builds. If you own a glass window PC and running an air-based cooler, you need to consider the 42mm height limit that it poses to the CPU cooler; the large heatsinks cause the RAM to be difficult to tuck under the heatsinks. This RAM has no support for ECC therefore not suitable for server PCs. However, a standard PC will be easier to work with it.

Patriot has tested this RAM with almost all the motherboard chipsets offered by both Intel and AMD, which makes it worth buying. The black color is themed with the black PCB, which is a color that never goes wrong in a PC build. However, there are not no other colors available besides the black color. The heatsink is vicious and protrudes from the top in fins, making it heat efficient.
